Neighborhood Beautification Day! Saturday May 2nd

WHEN: Saturday May 2, 2009 at 9:00 am
WHO: You and your dedicated neighbors

WHERE: Meet at the Park Gazebo

Purpose: To make a community effort to keep Eagle Crest a neighborhood of which to be proud.

With all of us pitching in, we can make neighborhood sprucing up a quick and fun activity. Armed with trash bags, we can team up and pick up along our entrances, fence, common areas, vacant lots, and Eagle Crest Park. This will be our first monthly beautification day, so we will also be addressing some much needed park repairs and maintenance.

Please come prepared with any preferred gloves, hats, sunglasses, sunblock, or jackets for your own comfort and protection.

Many of our teens need community service hours for church or school. This is a great opportunity to get them involved in a neighborhood activity, fulfill service requirements, or just develop good civic responsibility; plus it will help fill in that menacing space at the bottom of scholarship applications!

1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt

1st Annual
Easter Egg Hunt

Your Eagle Crest Homeowners Association sponsored the 1st annual Easter Egg Hunt for all of our neighborhood kids and grandkids. Families of Eagle Crest enjoyed fabulous weather, good fellowship, and a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny! At 2:00pm this Saturday, Eagle Crest Park provided the ideal outdoor setting for kids young and old to sharpen their gathering skills as they hunted for eggs and prizes. Kids seemed jittery as Tom Thomas corralled them into three age groups for the hunt. All eyes were lined up watchfully as each participant scoped out their ideal route for collection.

Three lucky participants were prize winners and received one of the grand prize baskets.

Winner in youngest group, Kelsey poses here with her younger brother as they examine their loot.

Winner of the 9 and older group marvels at his good fortune as he poses here. When asked about his strategy for the hunt, he said,"You have to move and think like a rabbit".

Winner in the ages 6-8 group was Zoey, seen here with her mother Felicia.

Special thanks for preparation and organization goes Tammy Barthuly and her sister Kim as the Easter Bunny. Donations to this event were from the Barthuly, Thomas, and Fricke families; and it's success is owed to YOU and all your neighbors for helping to make Eagle Crest a great community!
